Keppel Street Building – London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, London

Project Description

In 2019 Adams Environmental successfully tendered for the asbestos management contract at the prestigious London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine. To date we have delivered asbestos surveys, removal management and analytical services as part of their building refurbishment masterplan as well as the annual re-inspections and other project related packages.

Notably, we delivered the pre refurbishment asbestos survey, tender specification, management of asbestos removal and full time air monitoring for the Phase 2 package over a period of 6 months. This project included a challenging phasing of asbestos removal around structural alterations, removal of a large section of contaminated ceiling duct and adaptations to the site to enable it to continue in a COVID-secure way.

This project was delivered on time and on budget, with positive feedback from the client.  We look forward to continuing our relationship with LSHTM and helping them to deliver their next phase soon.
