Project Description

Between 2009 – 2019 the building underwent a major, whole building, multi-phased refurbishment.

Being constructed between the late 1950s/early 1960s the building had significant Asbestos features throughout.  Adams Environmental having fulfilled the incumbent Asbestos Management Consultancy role since 1996 were tasked with numerous Asbestos Management aspects over the duration of the project from providing budget costs at the Feasibility Stage of the project, to Refurbishment Surveys carried out in phases, to completing site walks with Asbestos Contractors and tender reviews, to air monitoring work and finally to providing the Principal Contractor with the Residual Risk Report at the end of works.

For the decade duration of the project on completion of the associated asbestos removal works, 95% of all the asbestos items within the building had been removed.
